Little Lamb Preschool |
| April 20, 2005 Jolene Berke, Little Lamb Preschool Director, announced that Little Lamb Preschool will make a donation to the Kearney Area Children's Museum in the amount of $200. Little Lamb Preschool had a program this year called "Pennies From Preschoolers". They did a unit in October on Obedience and the children made Obey Jars. The students took them home and received a penny from their parents each time they were obedient. In November, at their Thanksgiving Feast, some of the children returned their Obey Jars filled with pennies and coins as a sign of thankfulness to God that we have a bounty to share with others. We kept the pennies all year in a large clear jar and brought it out periodically for the children to see. Their goal was to overflow the jar. We did a unit on the Letter "Q" a few weeks ago and the children were encouraged to bring quarters to "top off" our jar and to overflow it. We received several quarters and lots more pennies, Obey Jars, and other containers of money from the children. Our jar was filled to overflowing!!! We met our goal! Congratulations Little Lamb Preschool students and parents! Your generosity is outstanding! |
